Aerial Beauty

Evansville Airport Gateway Sculpture

Aerial Beauty was named the winner of the Keep Evansville Beautiful Airport Gateway Sculpture Competition.
The model is currently located at the Keep Evansville Beautiful offices at 209 Main St. Evansville, IN.

I am extremely happy to share with you the great news that my large fiberglass sculpture I call Aerial Beauty has been chosen to sit atop the Evansville Welcome Monument at the intersection of Old Petersburg Road and State Road 57 near the entrance to the Evansville Regional Airport. I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given to represent this great Tri-State region to the rest of the world, whose travelers will see a one-of-a-kind graceful sculpture containing diverse abstract elements of our rich heritage and natural environment.

I am also grateful for the many kind words of encouragement, praise, support and suggestions you have given me throughout this long journey and hope to see many of you at the dedication later this year.

I ended my victory day eating at a Chinese restaurant. The fortune cookie message was, "Many possibilities are open to you, work a little harder." I am so glad that I am retired! The future looks brighter every day.

Most importantly, I want to leave you with this thought. Without God giving me the wisdom, strength, health and endurance, this never would have happened. Therefore, I say, "The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy". Psalms 126:3
